HomeLab
The U-M HomeLab is a subfacility within the greater Zajonc Laboratories at the Institute for Social Research. The HomeLab is a simulation space designed primarily as a home, but reconfigurable as simulate other environments (e.g., a clinic exam room). HomeLab is dedicated to supporting researchers who want to observe participant behavior in environments that are ecologically valid but still highly controlled (i.e. 'middlespaces'). The HomeLab is outfitted with a wide variety of cameras, microphones, and environmental/physiological sensors, including a technologically advanced control room and observation platform.
