EFP&A Website

Enterprise Financial Planning & Analysis, formerly the Office of Finance, is the unit responsible for approving recharge rate requests. 

External users process

This document provided by EFP&A explains the onboarding process for external users. To determine if you need to set up a various sponsor project grant, put your department name or ID on this ORSP website and it will direct you to the appropriate person to contact.

Unrelated Business Income Tax (UBIT)

Many of the cores who work with external users are under the threshold of the UBIT, but you will want to connect with the Tax Department to ensure you are in compliance when you start generating revenue.

Core Facility Management Systems (CFMS)

Software that has been developed to manage the operations of research cores such as resource/service scheduling, user access, billing, data management, reporting and analytics. There are two different CFMS used by U-M cores;
